Activity 1 Technical Warm-Up
15 yds 25 yds
4v2 Double Grid Possession Warm-Up
Setup: 4v2 - 4v2. TRAINING AREA = 15W x 25L. Divide the space into (2) separate spaces. Play 4v2 in one space. The attacking team should try to keep possession and count the highest number of consecutive passes. The defending team should try to regain possession, and pass the ball to their teammates in the opposite grid. As the ball transitions to the opposite grid, (2) attacking players and defending players transition to the grid with the ball.
Goal: The 4 attacking players try to string together as many consecutive passes as possible within the grid. The 2 defenders try to win the ball and pass it to their 2 teammates in the opposite grid, which triggers a transition: (2) attackers and the defending pair move to whichever grid has the ball.

Goal: White tries to score on either of the 2 goals on their attacking end-line; red tries to score on the single goal on their attacking end-line. Both teams earn a point by passing or shooting the ball into their assigned goal(s). Defensive focus is on applying pressure, cover, and balance.
